In the Bhagavad Gita, the Lord says:
“Shraddhavan labhate jnanam”
— meaning, only a person with faith attains knowledge.
Similarly, in the Ramcharitmanas, Goswami Tulsidas Ji says:
“Shraddha bina dharam nahi hoi”
— meaning, without faith, even religion cannot exist. In other words, without faith, neither righteous conduct nor religious practices are possible.
In the Bal Kand of the Ramcharitmanas, while invoking auspiciousness, Goswami Ji writes:
“Bhavani Shankarau Vande Shraddha Vishwas Roopinau,
Yabhyam Vina Na Pashyanti Siddhah Swantastham Ishwaram.”
Meaning: I bow to Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva, who are the embodiments of faith and belief; without them, even accomplished beings cannot perceive God residing within their own hearts.
The essence of all this is that whether it is spiritual realization, attainment of knowledge, or the practice of worldly and Vedic duties—everything is rooted in faith. In simple terms, faith means surrender, and true surrender comes only when there is respect in our hearts.
These were the ancient teachings. If we look at today’s context, so-called development has become synonymous with material comforts. There is a race to acquire more and more conveniences. In such a situation, where is faith, where is surrender, where is respect? Whenever we see even a small amount of these values in someone, we instinctively say, “What wonderful संस्कार (values) they have!”
If we reflect on where these values come from, we find that they arise from the company of those who study our ancient scriptures and live according to them through their spiritual practices. Gradually, we are drifting away from our own cultural values. While material development cannot be completely denied, in a country like India—blessed with the immense wisdom of sages and saints—it is equally important to recognize and value that spiritual heritage.
Family conflicts, mental stress in daily life, depression despite having all material comforts, and inner unrest—if we look at the root of these problems, we realize that we have neglected the Vedic wisdom given by our sages.
To preserve our cultural values and traditions at their root level, it is essential to establish Gurukuls based on the Vedic education system, where ancient wisdom, scriptural knowledge, and teachings of the sages are imparted along with a balanced understanding of modern thought.
Acharya Shri Satyanarayan Das Ji Maharaj, who from a very young age has demonstrated exceptional management and leadership by elevating several Vedic schools to great heights, holds the vision of establishing such Gurukuls. These institutions will prepare students who can go into society and spread awareness about our traditions, cultural heritage, social harmony, and the core principles of Sanatan Dharma, including proper methods of worship.
For this noble mission, support from all sections of society is essential so that this important work can be carried forward smoothly with excellence, divinity, and grandeur.
Jai Shri Sita Ram 🙏

How much pious credit we get by visiting holy places, offering food for brahmanas, fasting, chanting of mantras by doing many yajnas that much pious credit we can get simply by offering a blade of grass to a cow. – Mahabharata
